In general, type or choose the search criteria at the bottom of the screen and the click the 'Apply Search' link.
The search criteria are cumulative. This means that if you enter more than one search term (for instance, 'p-51' in name, and 'Other Plans' in category), the page will show only the plans that contain p-51 in the name AND are in the 'Other Plans' category.
If your search comes back empty, eliminate some of the search terms until you start to get matches.
When you type something into the name field, the page will match any plan that contains the word or words you enter. This means that the shorter the term you enter, the more matches you are likely to get. For instance, if you enter ju-87, you will get fewer matches than if you just enter 87, because some plans are listed as ju-87, and others as ju 87. On the other hand, you may get more than you bargained for. If you enter '24' instead of B-24, you will get matches for the Boeing 247, and the Fairchild 24-R, as well as the B-24.
There are two boxes for wingspan, allowing you to enter a range. If you enter a number in the first box only, then it becomes a minimum (all plans of at least N inches). If you enter a number in only the second box, it becomes a maximum (all plans N inches and smaller).
The picture search term limits the matches to those plans that have pictures. At this time, it is best to leave this search term alone (in the "[]" position) because there are few pictures in the database right now.
